What/When I should post to social media

Tell stories, share data, and get the word out about the importance of getting California’s youth outdoors. We must work  to ensure that we foster tomorrow’s champions by increasing state park access for youth and their families.

When you post to social media, be sure to use the hashtag #PathwaystoParks (on public posts/accounts). This helps us share what’s going on with people who are not currently following the campaign and raises the profile of state parks with California’s decision makers.

You might want to share:

• Research from the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at UCLA  and California State Parks Foundation on how state parks can improve the lives of children while fostering the next generation of park stewards.

• Interactive map, you can explore the demographic and health statistics of residents living within the walking, biking, and driving areas around California state parks.

• Why parks are important to health for you and your community

• Why you advocate for California state parks

• Your state park story

• A retweet, repost, or response to California State Parks Foundation’s social media
