Do you have a special memory or experience with a California State Parks staff member that made your visit unforgettable? Now's your chance to show your appreciation and help us celebrate the hardworking individuals who make our state parks thrive! 

We’re highlighting the amazing people who keep our parks running, and we’d love for you to join us in sharing your stories, photos, and messages of gratitude. 

This campaign is part of California State Parks Week, and your submission could be featured across our social media channels ahead of the events June 11–15. Plus, one lucky participant will win a California Explorer Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass ($195 value)!

Rules for Entry:  

  • Nominees: All submissions must feature direct employees of California State Parks. Nominations of volunteers, park partners, visitors, or anyone not employed by California State Parks will not be considered 
  • Submissions: All submissions and photos must be suitable for family viewing. Please do not include any explicit or graphic content. 
  • Submission Limit: Participants may submit up to one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same individual will not be considered. 
  • Winner Selection: The winner will be chosen on June 2, 2025. The selection process will be determined by random draw and announced via social media and email.  
  • Usage Rights: By submitting a story and photo, you agree to grant California State Parks Foundation the right to use your submission, including your name, story, and photo, for promotional purposes in digital and print media, without additional compensation. 
  • Eligibility Restrictions: Board members and staff of California State Parks Foundation are not eligible to participate or win. 
  • General Terms: By participating, entrants agree to abide by these rules and all decisions made by California State Parks Foundation, which are final and binding in all respects.
