On Saturday, April 13, 2019, volunteers will come together to make a difference in state parks across California for our 21st annual Earth Day celebration! This year we will host special volunteer projects focused on climate resiliency and, for the first time ever, we’re expanding our celebration to include family-friendly open houses at five state parks across California Open house sites will offer guided park explorations, arts and crafts and much more! See the full list of open house and workday sites to the right.

LOOKING BACK AT EARTH DAY 2018

Last year, 3,000 volunteers throughout California helped commemorate our 20th Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 21. They constructed and updated structures for ADA compliance, cleared trash and cleaned graffiti, removed invasive plants and replaced them with native species, renovated campgrounds, maintained trails and more at 35 state parks.
